Philosophy of Health:
I have created www.wisdomandwellness.us with the goal to be able to reach, and educate patients across the country who desire advanced testing, and that may not have it available to them where they live. Our scientific literature today supports assessing and balancing your micronutrients as critical for optimal individual health. I refer to micronutrient balancing as one of the five pillars of health.
The first pillar is restful sleep. The second pillar is optimal level of exercise for you. It is important not to overdo your exercise if you do not have the support of well needed micronutrients. Exercise should aid your metabolism which will help provide your body with the necessary level of detoxification needed. Over-exercising can damage cells and create oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is another name for poor cellular health.
The third pillar of health is your diet. Most importantly you want to make sure that the food you eat is not creating triggers for any inflammatory processes. The fourth pillar of health is balancing your hormones and this is not only your sex hormones; estrogen, testosterone and progesterone, but also your stress hormone cortisol and insulin. There are many, many, hormones in the body and they are constantly trying to establish homeostasis or balance.
The fifth pillar and the one that standardized Western medicine does not seem to address well, is balancing your micronutrients. I may refer to many of these articles during our consultation, which are some of the most frequent problems facing patients today.
